Is Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is planning to levied tax as per the Prosperity of Area?
In India Ahmedabad is a metropolitan city at the same time commercial advancement increased rapidly.it also leads to real estate development in every area like s.g highway,bopal,sindhu bhavan road,science city,thaltej etc.
Till now Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation levied tax based on the value of the Property. But now question has arisen that is Amc going to levied tax as per the prosperity of area, as in property tax bill of 2023-24 is come with written as very prosperous.
Generally The bill consist of 3 types of property that is residential,non-residencial,and commercial in it,but this time instead of these 3 it comes with “very prosperous”in it. it increase the tenseness of property holder regarding increase in tax.They still Confuged that Is property tax is levied as per Prosperity of Area ?
As a answer of this question Jainik vakil- chairman of Ahmedabad municipal corporation revenue committee admitted that there is no change In old system as mention in 2011 jantri.
As per 2011 Jantri property is divided into A-B-C-D grade as per its per sq.feet price of that area.
A -more than 20000
B -13501 to 22000
C – 6751 to 13500
D -less than 6750
The above mention rates are as per 2011 Jantri Which will continue further.There is no Change in it.
